Sports & Fitness Exchange
CASE STUDY
Driving Online Sales With Digital Advertising
Sports & Fitness Exchange teamed up with Bedford Advertising to increase nationwide online sales through Google and Facebook advertising. Their ecommerce conversion rate driven by their paid ads increased 5,800% over the course of the first 6 months.
Their Story
Sports and Fitness Exchange is the only premier liquidator for Nordictrack, ProForm, Freemotion, Gold’s Gym and Weslo in Arizona, AND one of the only in the US to ship nationwide. Having been in business since 2010, the staff of Sports and Fitness Exchange have become experts in the fitness industry. They sell many current models of treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, rowers and home gyms at 50 to 70 percent off retail.
The Challenge
Increasing Online Revenue Outside of Arizona
In order to increase online revenue and to remain profitable with such small margins, our team needed to build strategically targeted campaigns in high-value cities across the US. We also needed to be able to measure that our digital advertising efforts were driving profitable sales that would have not occurred without advertising.
Our Solution
Measuring ROI to the Dollar
- We analyzed years of data to determine their most profitable markets.
- Launched product ads targeting fitness and exercise enthusiasts in those markets.
- Simultaneously redesigned the website to have more control over conversion rates in order to maximize ROI
- The team connected Google and Facebook data, with the stores Shopify sales for us to determine net revenue gained from each profitable campaign.
- We incrementally tested the product mixes in each market to maximize profitability
- Launch branding campaigns through OTT to increase brand awareness in these new markets
